Trust me, I’ve been there! I remember wasting money on different diets and feeling like nothing's ever going to work for me. After white-knuckling it and many failed attempts, I finally lost the weight doing 4 things:
1. It's not just about cutting out calories (eating less), it's about what we are actually putting into our bodies. I shifted my focus to macros, and not eating less food. Most of us are not eating enough protein, leaving us grabbing for those snacks after the kids are in bed.
2. Cutting out the mindless eating and simply thinking before I ate. No grabbing the holiday cookies in the breakroom or picking at your kids plates because it's "going to waste" or because your family is annoying you.
3. Deciding ahead of time what's worth having and what is NOT. No more eating based on holiday stress or based on what everyone else is eating. Do you actually like what you are eating?
4. Letting go of perfection. Too many diets required me to be perfect and that left me white-knuckling it! It's not about being perfect!
